Toaster and friends are off to Mars! Robbie's baby is transported to Mars and its up to the team of appliances to bring him home. This offers a basic look at cartoon production. The viewer has the option to watch just the storyboard panels, or to watch the sketches along side the final outcome of The directors have chosen to show a scene from the movie in its original storyboard layout. Peter Noone (of Herman's Hermits fame) makes a guest appearance by re-recording the band's 1964 classic: "I'm Into Something Good." The special features on this DVD include: a storyboard-to-scene comparison. Including vocal appearances by Farrah Fawcett (Faucet), Carol Channing (Fanny), Wayne Knight (Microwave) and Alan King (Supreme Commander). While the story is definitely not as strong as the original, this movie is equally fun, with its award winning score filled with catchy tunes. This time, Toaster and friends must save a bunch of animals, residing in a veterinary hospital, from being sent to a testing laboratory. Toaster, Blanky, Lampy, Radio and Kirby the Vaccum are back in yet another thrilling tale of friendship. They learn to put their minds and unique qualities together in pursue of a common goal. Along the way, the team encounters many challenges: tests of their friendship and loyalty to one another. In the beginning, they have a hard time dealing with one another. They decide to embark on a journey in search of their beloved friend. In this award winning adventure, Toaster and friends (other talking appliances) are shocked to discover that they have been abandoned by their master. The 1987 children's classic Brave Little Toaster has finally been brought to DVD, featuring voices from SNL alumni Phil Hartman and Jon Lovitz.
